bubble tea, aka pearl milk tea, is a popular beverage that originated in taiwan in the 1980’s. although recipes may vary, the drink typically consists of green or black tea, fruit/fruit syrup and/or milk. this yummy beverage can also be served blended with ice and is served with tapioca pearls. and don’t worry, although the tapioca pearls add a little sweetness to the drink, bubble teas are considered as healthy drinks for your overall diet. (my favorite is vanilla bubble tea, no tapioca pearls.)
